Key terms and definitions used across the Finanzer platform and the broader tokenized finance ecosystem.
Assignment of Proceeds
A mechanism where the beneficiary of an LC assigns the right to receive payment to a third party. On Finanzer, this is recorded on-chain within the SPV structure.
AML (Anti-Money Laundering)
Regulatory framework requiring financial institutions to detect and prevent money laundering activities. Enforced on Finanzer through Sumsub integration.
DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization)
The governance layer for each SPV on Finanzer. Token holders vote on proposals through on-chain mechanisms.
Default
When a borrower fails to meet their debt obligations. On Finanzer, defaults trigger DAO-governed recovery proceedings through pre-assigned legal firms.
ERC-3643
The security token standard used by Finanzer. Embeds identity verification, transfer restrictions, and compliance rules at the protocol level.
Escrow
On-chain smart contract holding mechanism. Funds are held in escrow until verification conditions are met before release.
KYC (Know Your Customer)
Identity verification process required for all platform participants, conducted through Sumsub.
Letter of Credit (LC)
A bank-issued guarantee of payment to a seller. On Finanzer, LCs are verified through AI and tokenized within SPV structures.
MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets)
European regulatory framework for crypto-asset services. Finanzer operates under MiCA from its Hamburg headquarters.
SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle)
A legally distinct entity created for a specific deal on Finanzer. Isolates asset risk and defines token terms, recovery procedures, and governance parameters.
Secondary Market
Finanzer's on-platform trading venue where SPV tokens can be bought and sold between qualified investors.
Transferable LC
A letter of credit that allows the original beneficiary to transfer all or part of the credit to another party.
Tokenization
The process of representing a real-world asset as a digital token on a blockchain. On Finanzer, debt instruments are tokenized as ERC-3643 security tokens.
